5248 A memorandum of understanding was signed between the two universities regarding this program, and in 2014, our university began recruiting students. 3.2 Purpose This program aims to develop human resources who can play an active role in both Japan and China after graduation by studying at both our university and Ritsushin University and holding degrees from both universities, becoming familiar with the cultures, social circumstances, and languages of each university, and becoming proof of being an internationally active human resource. We have maintained a mutually good relationship with Ritsushin University as a friendly and strategic partnership, which will lead to the future growth and development of both universities. […4. Design and implementation of the double degree program at our university…] 4.1 Design In designing the double degree program at our university, we discussed and adjusted the following points with Ritsushin University. ・Setting the target faculties at our university and the corresponding faculties at Ritsushin University ・Mutual recognition of credits and curriculum (number of credits, subjects, studying abroad) ・Student registration and period ・Necessary skills for studying abroad (1) Setting the target faculties at our university and the corresponding faculties at Ritsushin University For this item, we carefully examined the contents of the faculties at our university and the contents of the faculties at Ritsushin University, and decided to match the faculties as close as possible. Lixin is a university with a strong accounting background, and also has faculties such as economics and management, making it easy to match them with our faculties. In addition, it has a variety of faculties, including law, information, and foreign languages, making it easy to apply the content of our new faculties. Therefore, for the three departments of Faculty of Commerce and Business Administration and Economics, the Faculty of Policy and Information, Faculty of Service Innovation, and Faculty of Global Studies the faculties on Lixin side were determined through discussion, as shown in Table 1. "College" means faculty. The Faculty of Policy and Information is affiliated with the College of Information Management for the Japan-China Collaborative Course, but for the double degree, a faculty that corresponds to the learning of the Regional Policy Course was selected. At present, there is no setting for the Faculty of Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences. (2) Setting the number of credits and subjects required for the award of a degree The degree awarded by Lixin in the double degree program is called a double degree. This is the name specified in China and is the same at all universities. Since a degree from our university is also awarded at the same time, the curriculum is based on the academic regulations of the corresponding faculty at Risshin University, and the number of credits required is calculated based on the calculation method for the number of credits stipulated in Article 21 of the Japanese University Establishment Standards, with 130 credits or more meeting the graduation requirements at Risshin University (revised to 150 credits or more from the 2017 academic year: see below).
