We are pleased to report that of the total amount of 154,58173 yen (including in-kind donations) donated to our 90th anniversary project, 130 million yen has been recorded as specific assets for the 90th anniversary project and used to cover the costs of the Special Academic Support Grant (a flat rate of 50,000 yen for undergraduate and graduate students) implemented in May 2020 and the Living Support Grant for those suffering from reduced part-time job income.
We are grateful for your support in enabling us to provide financial assistance to our students.

The unveiling ceremony for the plaque of the donors for the 90th anniversary project was held on July 24th. The ceremony was attended by the Chairman of the Board, many school officials, alumni association president Keiji Katsuta, education support association president Kiyoshi Sakuma, and Ichikawa Building Co., Ltd. President Kazuyoshi Tahara.
The donor plaques are on display in the entrance hall on the first floor of the main building, so please be sure to take a look when you visit the school.

On Wednesday, December 5, 2018, a commemorative lecture entitled "Faculty Members Talk About Their Own Books" was held in the Ida Takeshi Memorial Seminar Room on the second floor of the affiliated Library, with Professor Ando Kazuyo of Faculty of Service Innovation as the lecturer.

For two months, from Monday, October 1st to Friday, November 30th, 2018, a special exhibition titled "Getting to Know Endo Ryukichi," about the founder of our university, Endo Ryukichi, was held in the Library space on the first floor of the affiliated library.

We held an accounting and tax training seminar at the Marunouchi Satellite Campus (Galleria Sho.Tokyo). We invited Mr. Tetsuto Suga (Manager the Information Technology Office, Planning Division, Commissioner's Secretariat, National Tax Agency) as the lecturer and he gave a lecture on the theme of "Recent Trends and Future Initiatives Regarding e-Tax: The Mandatory Implementation of Electronic Filing and the Future of Tax Administration."

The CUC Policy Research Forum was held on Saturday, December 15th, sponsored by the Graduate Graduate School of Policy Studies, Doctoral Program. The forum was themed "Reform Vision for Mobility, Towns, and Industry - A Message from Chiba University of Commerce," and 52 people, including faculty and students from the Graduate Graduate School of Policy Studies, Doctoral Program, as well as specialists in various fields, attended.

Students from Faculty of Service Innovation will be producing the official match (17th round of the season) of the Chiba Jets Funabashi, a professional basketball team that belongs to the B.LEAGUE B1 League, against the Kyoto Hannaryz on Saturday, December 29th and Sunday, December 30th, as the "Chiba University of Commerce of Commerce 90th Anniversary Match Day."

On Saturday, December 1, Research Center for Economics hosted an open symposium. The theme of the symposium was "Supporting SMEs in an Era of Mass Business Closures: Supporting Business Succession, Handover, and Transfer." More than 70 people attended, including specialists and practitioners directly involved in SME support, such as SME management consultants, tax accountants, lawyers, and financial institution personnel.

On November 29th, Career Support Center hosted the 14th CUC Alliance Corporate Forum, which was attended by 279 students and approximately 260 companies. The forum also featured the 1st OB/OG OF THE YEAR, which recognized alumni who have graduated from the university, and a panel discussion on the theme of "This year's job hunting activities as seen by job-hunting students, human resources, and universities."

On Saturday, October 13th, a seminar on improving management skills for small and medium-sized enterprises was held by the Small and Medium Enterprise Management Consultant Training Course, which is common to all master's degree students at the graduate school.

As part of our 90th anniversary celebrations, our university Library is holding a special exhibition entitled "Getting to Know Endo Ryukichi," which introduces the life of our founder, Endo Ryukichi, through panels and his writings. During the exhibition period, we will be exhibiting valuable books such as Endo Ryukichi's handwritten "Kagaku no Sho," "Sugamo Spirit," and "Jinbun Toyoshugi."

On Sunday, September 23rd (National Holiday), the 5th Nationwide High School Environmental Speech Contest was held for high school students, and 12 students who passed the document screening went on to compete in the finals. One Grand Prize winner, three Excellence Prize winners, and one Special Prize winner were selected based on their speeches and questions from the judges.

As part of our 90th anniversary project, we are holding a study group called "IT Dojo" for students of our university and the university's affiliated high school, with the aim of improving their information processing skills. The aim is to give students the IT knowledge they need to take the IT Passport, Fundamental Information Technology Engineer Examination, and Applied Information Technology Engineer Examination, as well as to deepen their understanding of IT and the industry by introducing the rapidly changing trends in the IT industry and having lively discussions between teachers and students.
