CUC Open Lecture 2023 6th "From Fair Trade University Certification to Making Ichikawa a Fair Trade Town with Students"
Chiba University of Commerce is offering the "CUC Open Lectures 2023" as part of its social contribution activities.
President Project was launched in 2017 and is developing educational, research and community contribution activities that broadly cover the SDGs adopted by the United Nations in 2015. In Project 2, we are reaffirming and self-examining the "social responsibility of the university" to determine what responsibilities the university should fulfill toward the community and society, and are acting responsibly as an educational and research institution and as a base for the community.
The university has been working on a wide range of initiatives, including business ethics education, and was certified as the fifth fair trade university in the country in April 2023. The student group "CUC Ethical Student Group," established in 2021, took the lead in the certification process.
In this lecture, we will report on the activities of the "CUC Ethical Student Group" to date and announce our next goal, the "Fair Trade Town Concept for the Chiba Area."
