CUC Open Lecture 2023 8th "Promoting SDGs through collaboration with other sectors using environmentally friendly agriculture (Part 2) CUC100 Wine Project" will be held
Chiba University of Commerce is offering the "CUC Open Lectures 2023" as part of its social contribution activities.
The CUC100 (One Hundred) Wine Project aims to "provide an opportunity to think about the future of agriculture and energy resources, and to create a place to interact with local residents" through grape cultivation in a solar sharing field on campus. In addition, from March 28, 2022, we are also working on a new urban beekeeping project called "Konnodai Bee Garden" on the terrace on the third floor of Building 1 on campus.
By interacting with 20,000 bees, who are sensitive to the environment, feeling the benefits that living creatures bring, working to create an environment filled with flowers and plants, and sharing our understanding of the coexistence of humans and nature with many people, we are expanding the scope of the project. Last month, we sowed rapeseed seeds in 200 planters, and in March of next year, a new source of nectar, the "Rape Flower Road," will be born on campus.
