Visiting Researcher Program

The "Visiting Researchers" affiliated with each research institute of Chiba University of Commerce CUC Research Institute are defined as follows:

(the purpose)
Article 1 These regulations stipulate the necessary matters regarding the treatment of visiting researchers (hereinafter referred to as "Visiting Researchers") affiliated with each research institute of Chiba University of Commerce CUC Research Institute.

(definition)
Article 2: A Visiting Researcher is a researcher other than a full-time faculty member of the University who has advanced specialized knowledge and experience and actively cooperates in a specific research project at the University.

(conditions)
Article 3 Visiting Researchers shall be individuals who fall under any of the following items.
(1) Persons who belong to research projects at each research institute in CUC Research Institute
(2) Researchers who have received external funding such as Grants-in-Aid for Scientific Research
(3) Other individuals who are deemed necessary by the Director CUC Research Institute and CUC Research Institute Steering Committee.

(Application)
Article 4 Those who wish to become Visiting Researchers must submit the required documents to the Director CUC Research Institute.

(approval)
Article 5 The acceptance of Visiting Researchers will be subject to a rigorous review based on the documents submitted, and President will make a decision after deliberation by CUC Research Institute Steering Committee and the Meeting of Dean Deans.

(period)
Article 6 The appointment period of a visiting researcher shall be limited to the current academic year. However, if an extension is desired for special reasons, an extension may be granted by submitting the required documents and obtaining the approval set forth in the previous article.

(treatment)
Article 7 No employment relationship will arise between the Visiting Researcher and the Institute.
2. Visiting Researchers will not be paid a salary.
3. Visiting Researchers may use the budget of the research project to which they belong upon application by the Research Director.
4. A Visiting Research Fellow may be called a “Chiba University of Commerce Visiting Research Fellow.”

(Research results)
Article 8: At the end of the appointment period, Visiting Researchers must submit the following research outcome documents by the deadline set for each fiscal year.
(1) Visiting Researchers belonging to a research project must describe the results of their own portion of the research in the research report submitted by the Principal Investigator.
(2) Those who have received external funding, such as Grants-in-Aid for Scientific Research, must submit a research results report. However, results reports for external funding may be used instead.

(Compliance with regulations)
Article 9 Visiting Researchers must comply with the University's regulations when conducting research, surveys, etc.
