Dynamics of Female Labor Force Participation and Work-Life Balance: From Ancient Greece to Modern East Asia
古代ギリシアの知識人によって形成された労働観やジェンダー観が、中世・近代を通じて西欧の知識人に受け継がれ、現代の労働制度やジェンダー規範に影響を及ぼしてきた点に着目します。特に、日本・台湾における女性の労働参加と少子化の関係を分析し、無償のケア労働の再評価を通じて、ジェンダー平等と持続可能な社会の在り方を探求します。歴史的・比較的視座から、日本と台湾の社会構造の変遷を捉え、理論的枠組みを構築することを目的とします。

Research on the conditions for the development of rural tourism in Japan
In Europe, "rural tourism," which involves staying in rural areas, is a popular regional travel style. On the other hand, in Japan, although it can be found in various places, it has not yet been established as a travel style. This study will clarify the characteristics, challenges, and needs of rural tourism in Japan as seen by inbound tourists from Europe, and organize the conditions for its future spread.

日本の国際移民と離島の社会統合を支えるソーシャル・キャピタルの外部性に関する実証研究—移住者と定住者の《はざま》に置かれる社会関係が紡ぐ、境界連結の形成メカニズムの解明
本研究は国際移民の社会統合を社会関係資本論から研究し、「移住者と定住者の豊かな社会関係資本を育む望ましいコミュニティ政策を地域社会に実装させるには如何なる地域アクター（自治体、自治会町内会、NPOなど）を育成すべきであるのか」、「ホスト社会と国際移民の間に軋轢を減らす条件とは何か」を解明することを目指します。

Holding of accounting and tax training seminars sponsored by Research Center for Accounting and identification of issues in accounting, auditing, and tax work through discussions with tax accountants and certified public accountants
会計ソフトの利用においてAIの活用が進んでおり、AI-OCRや自動仕訳などの機能を効率化の観点からも企業側および税理士・公認会計士側も活用する動きがある反面、AI-OCRで正確に読み取れない、自動仕訳が誤っているなどの潜在的な問題も生じています。本研究では、実務家へのディスカッションやヒアリング調査を通じて、会計ソフトのAIの利用における会計・監査・税務業務上の課題を抽出することを目的としています。また、会計・税務研修会を開催するとともに、提携関係の強化と会計教育研究所の知名度の向上を図ります。

Research on the application of artificial intelligence technology to help solve business management issues
人工知能技術の普及によって、さまざまな経営課題に対してその適用可能性が議論されるようになってきています。本研究では、経営の意思決定に役立てる目的で、対象問題にステークホルダーの経験を疑似的に支援するための人工知能適用の方法論を構築します。そのために、ビジネススクールにおけるケースメソッドやゲーミングの方法を発展させ、この領域における伝統的諸手法を超えた、新たな方法論への貢献をめざします。これには、人工知能分野におけるエージェント技法と大規模言語モデルの技術を利用します。

Comprehensive research on the achievements and accomplishments of Professor Ryukichi Endo (continuation)
On the 100th anniversary of the founding of our school, we will publish a definitive book (a booklet that can be considered the definitive edition) for students that compiles the achievements and accomplishments of Endo Takayoshi. The purpose of this research is to trace and re-examine Endo's achievements and accomplishments, and to document those that have not been reprinted or have no Japanese translation by reprinting them in type, or by providing Japanese translations and annotations. We will also collect materials on the history of the school.

遠藤隆吉の社会学史的位置に関する基礎的研究—日本社会学草創期の一断面
This research project is a basic study conducted ahead of the 100th anniversary of the founding of Chiba University of Commerce, to examine the sociological research of Dr. Endo Ryukichi, the university's founder and sociologist, from the perspective of sociological history and theory, in order to clarify the position and significance that Endo played in the formation of sociology in Japan. This project will mainly focus on his sociological achievements in the early 1900s.

We are working to support our university's application to join ASPUnivNet (including the application of our affiliated high school to become a UNESCO School (ESD-promoting school)). We are currently an observer of ASPUnivNet.

Systematic research into corporate sustainability management systems
In recent years, an increasing number of companies are taking a pioneering approach to achieving the SDGs. While highly unique initiatives are being made public to the public, the type of management being implemented within the company is not very clear. This study plans to clarify, through the analysis of case studies, how corporate leaders motivate division managers and employees to take action. In particular, the study plans to focus on management control systems as the central system of a company aimed at motivating employees.

Current status and issues of temporary urbanism on the waterfront
In contrast to conventional urban planning, which has aimed to create and realize a long-term vision for the city, the idea of temporary urbanism argues that flexible land and space use that changes temporarily or in the short term has a major impact on the formation of modern cities. We will focus on the idea of temporary urbanism and will grasp the actual situation and develop a theory about it, focusing on waterfront districts (urban ports and waterfront areas), where the challenge is to incorporate them into already mature urban center spaces so that they function quickly and effectively.

Uncovering the potential for sustainable development in island nations and their mutual relationship with Japan: from the perspective of tourism
太平洋の島嶼国は、国土の狭さや市場からの遠隔性、自然災害の影響等の要因により、外国からの投資を動員し、製造業を強化するのが難しいため、現地資源を活かした自立的な経済発展が求められます。その中で、フィジーは観光資源に恵まれ、経済発展に貢献していますが、インフラ不足や人材流出等の課題も抱えています。本研究では、現地調査を実践しつつ、フィジーの観光業の潜在性を発掘し、その魅力を高めるための日本の貢献や、日本が学ぶべき点を踏まえた持続可能な開発のあり方を模索します。

A study of the regularities inherent in models related to traffic congestion
Traffic congestion not only hinders economic activity, but also causes environmental and noise problems, so a solution is needed. In particular, in developing countries, improving transportation infrastructure is essential for economic development, so alleviating traffic congestion is important. Since elucidating the regularity of traffic congestion will lead to fundamental improvements and solutions, this research uses stochastic processes to conduct theoretical research and analysis.

地域社会のサステナビリティとドキュメンタリー映画制作—歴史を編む・社会をつくる—
In modern Japan, where the population decline is accelerating, the sustainability of local communities has become an urgent issue. How can media, especially video media, contribute to the sustainability of local communities? In this study, we explore the process in which documentary filmmakers who record the activities of local communities on film and local residents dig up local memories through collaborations such as filming and screenings, thereby creating a sustainable local community for the future and sharing it locally. We will clarify how documentary filmmaking can be an opportunity for the endogenous and sustainable reproduction of local communities.

Regional disaster prevention project through industry-government-academia collaboration
罹災時にも「現状の機能を維持できる」という観点で「安全・安心な都市・地域づくり」を研究してきました。しかし次の観点として、「地震・台風・酷暑」等の突発的ショックや、「少子高齢化・過疎・過密」「不景気・貧困・格差」「犯罪・暴行」等の慢性的ストレスに脅かされる都市が、これらを発展につなげる機会としてとらえ、転換のきっかけにすることができるような「レジリエントな都市」になるための都市機能開発と整備手法を研究します。

100% renewable energy university and carbon neutral by 2040
Race to Zero, sponsored by the United Nations, is an initiative launched in 2020 to take rigorous and rapid action to achieve net-zero greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions by 2050 at the latest. Our university joined in 2021 and declared that it would aim for net-zero by 2040. Many companies, cities, financial institutions, educational institutions, medical institutions, etc. around the world have made this declaration, but all organizations are still exploring how to implement it. This study will consider the formulation of a feasible reduction plan and its measures.

ソフトモビリティのための多主体連携事業体制の構築とそれを通じた持続可能な地域基盤の形成—アクセル・ブレーキ操作検知表示装置（ABOiD ）の導入を契機として
本研究の目的は、ソフトモビリティを基盤とした持続可能な地域実現の社会プロセスを構築することです。ABOiDの開発と普及は、そのための点火（ignition）の仕組みであり、社会プロセスの実体化に向けた始動期と位置づけられます。ファーストケースとして、これまで行政や地域住民と交流を続けてきた市川市（主に国府台地区）と合わせて、島根県美郷町などを対象として、地域事業主体の実現可能性についても含めた調査・研究を行います。
