CUC Open Lecture 2024 [2nd] Japan-Mongolia Joint Symposium (Report on the 29th June)
The Japan-Mongolia Joint Symposium was held in a hybrid format of in-person and online at Chiba University of Commerce Building No. 1 on Saturday, June 29, 2024. The lectures were conducted with simultaneous interpretation between Japanese and Mongolian, and the event was a great success, with 101 in-person attendees and 13 online attendees.

The Mongolian Tax Accountants Association and Chiba University of Commerce signed a memorandum of understanding on November 3, 2023 with the aim of deepening research and education in accounting, taxation, tax law, internal audits, and other areas in Japan and Mongolia, and have been working together to carry out business.
As part of this project, we held a joint symposium with the Mongolian Tax Accountants Association on June 29, 2024. The symposium was sponsored by the Chiba Prefectural Tax Accountants Association and supported by the Japan-Mongolia Friendship Tax Accountants Association, and was also held as a certified training session by the Chiba Prefectural Tax Accountants Association. As a result, many people, including tax accountants from both Japan and Mongolia, students from our university, and the general public, participated in the event.
The first part of the symposium, entitled "The Tax Accountant Systems of Japan and Mongolia and the Initiatives of Chiba University of Commerce," introduced the Japanese and Mongolian tax accountant systems and made proposals to further mutual understanding and development of the tax accountant systems in both countries.
In addition, during the Chiba University of Chiba University of Commerce tax accountant training program and performance report, members of the Mongolian Tax Accountants Association showed interest in the high quality of education offered by our university in the fields of accounting and taxation, and asked many questions after the symposium ended.
In the second part, "Joint Research Report," we introduced the VAT refund system using Mongolian Ebarimt (receipts) and reported on future research plans for "Research on Consumption Tax Refund Systems," one of the joint research projects between the Mongolian Tax Accountants Association and our university, and exchanged opinions with the attendees. Chiba University of Commerce, and to develop the tax accountant systems in both countries. We look forward to your continued guidance.
