1. Overview of research results
This project involved communicating with researchers and industry leaders related to sustainability research, thereby accumulating and actively disseminating knowledge about sustainability at our university. Through these activities, it created an opportunity for the institute to function as a hub for the sustainability research network.
The workshop invited people with important knowledge to share high-level knowledge about sustainability through the exchange of opinions.
The knowledge shared was not only shared at the seminars, but also uploaded to the institute's website through videos and interview articles, which helped raise awareness of the institute in society.
The research results were presented at the Future City Planning Forum, of which Sasatani serves as executive chairman (Kageura also participated as an executive committee member). The project also collaborated with the SDGs/CE Partnership Research Institute (SDGs/CE Research Institute) at Aoyama Gakuin University.
The lectures and research presentations were well-received by participants and helped to demonstrate the presence and influence of the Institute. These achievements were recognized as an important first step in promoting sustainability research and are worth continuing in the future.

At last, we need to "graduate" from SDG strategies at the level of 17 goals to 169 targets, and we need people who can handle ESG, SDGs, TCFD, human capital, etc. at will. In particular, a three-pronged solution of economy, environment, and society is essential for building a sustainable city of the future. The SDGs have been reviewed every four years since their adoption in September 2003, and SDG summits were held in 19 and 23. The next SDG Summit will be held in 2015, three years before the 30th SDG Summit, and in light of the 2025 Osaka-Kansai Expo, which will be held under the slogan "Expo for SDGs," the year 2012 is the first year to consider the post-SDGs, as we have passed the halfway point before the 30th SDG Summit. We should think together with everyone about what companies, local governments, and related parties should do now.
In addition to this, Sasatani facilitated a symposium with industry, government, and academia.
In addition, Takako Hashimoto Professor participated as a panelist in Afternoon Plenaries "Turning Point to Achieve SDGs: Current Status and Future Prospects".
