Project Purpose
This research will study the social integration of international immigrants from the perspective of social capital theory, and will aim to clarify "what kind of local actors (municipalities, neighborhood associations, NPOs, etc.) should be developed in order to implement desirable community policies in local communities that foster rich social capital between immigrants and settlers," and "what are the conditions for reducing friction between host societies and international immigrants."
