Collaborative researcher: Takahiro Mori (Research Associate Department of Fundamental Sciences, Kyoto Institute of Technology)
Project Purpose
Traffic congestion not only hinders economic activity, but also causes environmental and noise problems, so a solution is needed. In particular, in developing countries, improving transportation infrastructure is essential for economic development, so alleviating traffic congestion is important. Since elucidating the regularity of traffic congestion will lead to fundamental improvements and solutions, this research uses stochastic processes to conduct theoretical research and analysis.
