It has been decided that a new store will open at the "Student Venture Cafeteria" run by students of our university. This is the first new store in about a year and a half. The owner is Kaito Kimura (a graduate of Hatogaya High School), a second-year student in Department of Business Administration the Faculty Faculty of Commerce and Business Administration.

Kimura, who had been interested in venture cafeterias even before enrolling at the university, conducted a survey to find out what kind of menu students wanted, compiled a business plan, and applied to the university. When the university evaluated the restaurant, it placed emphasis on the motivation and purpose of starting the business, the appropriateness of the income and expenditure plan, the management system, and hygiene management, based on the attractive menu and price, and the fact that it is a venture that can be continued in the medium to long term, and made a comprehensive decision to accept Kimura.

What was particularly praised about Kimura's business plan was not only his enthusiasm for opening the restaurant, but also the fact that the results of a survey of 110 students were reflected in the menu and prices, the menu was different to other cafeterias, with set meals using vegetables and fish, and the continuity of his plan, which allows him to balance his studies with his new method of operating three days a week.

On Thursday, April 19th, the Student Venture Cafeteria Opening Certification Ceremony was held, and Kimura, who received the certificate from President, said, "I want to provide colorful food with a balanced nutritional content. I have been interested in student venture cafeterias since before I enrolled, so I would like to start by steadily preparing for the opening." In the future, they will continue to prepare for the opening in September, including creating documents to submit to the health center and securing suppliers. Please support these students who are taking on the challenge.

I had a lot of things I wanted to do after entering university, and I was worried about what to do, but after thinking long and hard about what I could only do now, I came to the conclusion that the answer was "student venture." I am a little nervous about starting a business while still a student, but I'm sure that once I get over this anxiety, I'll find it very rewarding. First of all, I want to work hard to prepare for the opening!
