- What is a double degree program?
- Degree is a "degree". When you graduate from a university, you are awarded a "degree" as proof that you have graduated from the university.
For example, graduating from Chiba University of Commerce Faculty of Commerce and Business Administration Department of Commerce will award you with a "Bachelor of Commerce" degree, but a double degree program is a program that allows you to earn two degrees in four years: (1) a degree certifying that you graduated from Chiba University of Commerce and (2) a degree certifying that you graduated from Shanghai Lixin Accounting and Finance Institute in China.

- What is a preparatory course?
- Those who are aiming for a double degree will take the selection exam to enter Shanghai Lixin Accounting and Finance University in July. The preparatory course is a course at Japan-China Study Institute where students study Chinese in preparation for the selection exam.

- Is it okay if I haven't taken Chinese classes?
- Please take Chinese language classes. If there are few Chinese language courses offered in your faculty, please take the Chinese language courses offered at Japan-China Study Institute for those who are aiming for a double degree.
- What is the selection test?
- The selection test to be held in July will consist of (1) a Chinese language test (to check language ability) and (2) an interview test (to check motivation).
As long as you have the motivation, you can learn Chinese and even aim for a double degree, so please give it a try.
- What happens after I pass the selection test?
- Those who pass the selection exam will become students at Shanghai Lixin University of Accounting and Finance while studying at Chiba University of Commerce.
The course up until the selection exam was a preparatory course, but from September I will be taking courses for the official double degree.

- What courses are available for a formal double degree?
- You will learn the language skills and knowledge necessary to study abroad at Shanghai Lixin Accounting and Finance University.
Specifically, these include Chinese language, Chinese language proficiency test preparation courses, China affairs, and specialized subjects studied at Shanghai Lixin Accounting and Finance University.
- How does it relate to classes in your department?
- In order to graduate from Chiba University of Commerce, students must thoroughly study the classes in their faculty and obtain the required credits.
The courses for the double degree are taken in addition to the undergraduate courses.
- What are the tuition fees for a double degree?
- Those who pass the selection exam in July and enroll in Shanghai Lixin Accounting and Finance University will be required to pay an annual tuition fee of 100,000 yen.

- When will you study abroad?
- The period is from February of the second year to December of the third year. However, for Faculty of Global Studies, the period is from September of the second year to June of the third year. In light of the current domestic and international situation, there is a possibility that the method and period of study abroad will change, and classes will be conducted online.
- How does this impact your job search?
- You will return from your study abroad in June or December of your third year, so it will not affect when you start your job search. However, if you wish to graduate in four years and find employment, it is advisable to earn as many credits as possible before going abroad.
