To commemorate the 90th anniversary of Chiba University of Commerce of Commerce in 2018, the project members, current students, started growing grapes in January 2019 in order to brew the university's original wine produced in Ichikawa City, Chiba Prefecture, in preparation for the 100th anniversary of the university's founding. In addition to grapes, vegetables are grown in the fields that were cultivated after soil improvement work was done on the former pitching practice field. Solar sharing equipment was installed, and the electricity generated is consumed on campus.
In addition, starting in March 2022, we started a beekeeping business called "Kokudai Bee Garden" to contribute to greening the area around the university and maintaining the ecosystem.
The aim of this project is to provide an opportunity to think about the future of agriculture and energy resources, to create a forum for interaction with local residents, and to contribute to regional revitalization.
