Ethics in research activities
Chiba University of Commerce has established ethical standards that are expected of all those involved in research activities.
System for preventing misconduct in research activities
It stipulates the responsibilities and authority of individuals in charge of research misconduct and measures to be taken against such misconduct.
Preventing the misuse of public research funds
Based on the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology's "Guidelines (Implementation Standards) for the Management and Audit of Public Research Funds at Research Institutions" (revised on February 18, 2014), we strive to prevent the misuse of public research funds and ensure their proper operation and management.
To all traders
Based on the guidelines of the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology, we have decided to ask you to submit the following pledge that you will not be involved in fraudulent transactions if you have a certain amount of transactions. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation.
Please note that if any fraudulent transactions are discovered, we will suspend transactions with the University for a certain period of time in accordance with the regulations established by the University.

Reporting and consultation service for research activities
We have set up a hotline for reporting or consulting about research misconduct. This hotline is open to faculty, staff, and students of the university, as well as people outside the university.
In principle, reports will be accepted that clearly state the name of the researcher or research group alleged to have engaged in research misconduct, the nature of the case, and other details of the case, and that provide reasonable grounds for the alleged misconduct.
If, during the investigation, it is determined that the report was made in bad faith, the name of the person reporting the information may be made public and disciplinary action may be taken. The whistleblower will be protected from any detrimental treatment in accordance with the "Chiba Gakuen School Corporation Whistleblower Protection Regulations."
