Japan-China Study Institute

Japan-China Study Institute (hereinafter referred to as the Exchange College) will provide support in course preparation and Chinese language learning, etc., in order to complete the various faculties of both our university and Shanghai Lixin Accounting and Finance University (hereinafter referred to as the Lixin College), and will also provide support such as opening original courses if necessary.

Japan-China Study Institute 's Activities

  1. Recruiting undergraduate students from our university who wish to participate in the double degree program
  2. Preparatory courses for students who wish to participate in double degree programs
  3. Conducting selection examinations for students participating in double degree programs
  4. Providing necessary education for students participating in double degree programs to study in China
  5. Providing necessary educational and course support for students participating in double degree programs to obtain a degree from a Chinese university

Registration for Japan-China Study Institute and enrollment in Risshin Academy

In order to register for the Exchange Academy's "Study Course" and enroll in Risshin Academy, students must take a selection exam held in the spring semester of their first year.
The selection exam will be conducted by the exchange school in late July, with applications being distributed and accepted in early July.
Those who pass this exam will be granted student status at Risshin Gakuin as soon as they begin their studies in the "study course," becoming students of both our university and Risshin Gakuin at the same time.
Therefore, if you receive any communication or guidance from Risshin Gakuin regarding your studies, you will also be required to respond to it.

"Preparatory Course" and "Study Course"

Preparatory Course

In order to pass the selection exam for the "Double Degree Program" (July of the first year), students will mainly study Chinese outside of regular classes.

Study Course

Those who participate in the "Double Degree Program" must enroll in the "Study Course" at the Exchange College.
Here, students will learn the language skills and basic knowledge necessary to study abroad at Risshin Gakuin from their second to third years through extracurricular classes offered by the Exchange Academy.
Specific course names include "Chinese language," "Chinese language proficiency test preparation course," "China affairs," and "Courses related to specialized subjects to be studied at the college after studying abroad" (Fall semester of 1st year to Fall semester of 2nd year).
In addition, after studying abroad (from spring semester to fall semester of the fourth year), students will take the courses necessary to graduate from Risshin Gakuin.
To obtain a double degree, students must complete 20 or more credits in courses offered by Japan-China Study Institute.

HSK (Chinese Proficiency Test) Level 4 and 5

Since the classes you will take at Risshin Gakuin will be taught in Chinese, Risshin Gakuin requires that you have the minimum language proficiency required to pass HSK (Chinese Proficiency Test) Level 4 before studying abroad.
In addition, students are required to obtain Level 5 before graduating from Risshin Gakuin.
