SDGs Action Charter

Chiba University of Commerce has formulated the "Chiba University of Commerce SDGs Action Charter" with the aim of serving as a guideline for fulfilling our social responsibilities by sharing and publicizing our approach to the SDGs both inside and outside the university in our business activities, which are based on our founding spirit and educational philosophy.

Chiba University of Commerce SDGs Charter of Action

Chiba University of Commerce will promote actions that contribute to the achievement of the SDGs (Sustainable Development Goals), an international framework advocated by the United Nations, in its education, research, and business activities.

(Organizational governance)

  1. We will promote university management that takes ESG (Environment, Society, and Governance) into consideration.
  2. (Education/Research)

  3. In order to solve global issues and create the future, we will promote education and academic research to produce "chidoka and ethical) who have "high ethical standards," "broad education," and "specialized knowledge and skills," and fulfill our responsibilities as an institution of higher education.
  4. (human rights)

  5. We will accept the individuality and different values of each student and faculty member, promote mutual understanding, and create an environment in which each person can fully utilize their abilities.
  6. (Environment and Energy)

  7. We regard global environmental issues as common issues for the whole world, and students, faculty and staff will work together to reduce the environmental impact. In particular, we aim to achieve a "100% renewable energy university" as an environmental goal to combat global warming, a major issue facing humanity, and to spread this to society.
  8. (Disaster prevention and regional development)

  9. We will work in cooperation with the local community to promote the sustainable development of the region and the creation of a safe and secure town.
