Aim for commercialization! Students from Faculty of Global Studies learn the basics of business from product planning for toys

As part of the career education for current students, Faculty of Global Studies is holding a total of seven product planning workshops, with Shinpei Takahashi, CEO of Usagi Co., Ltd., as the lecturer.
In recent years, the globalization of business has progressed rapidly in every company, while at the same time, the development of human resources who can respond to this globalization has become an important issue. When considering global expansion, it is necessary to consider business expansion that meets the needs of each country, since culture, preferences, lifestyles, and natural environments differ from country to country.

In this workshop, participants will learn how to create plans that people want through "product planning for toys." From a professional product planner who has created a hit product, participants will learn how to come up with ideas, create plans, the basics of marketing, presentation methods, and more, and acquire practical skills as businesspeople who can play an active role on the international stage.
In the final workshop, a product proposal presentation will be held, and product development staff from toy and miscellaneous goods manufacturers will participate as judges. Good proposals will be considered for commercialization.

Lecturer Introduction

Mr. Shinpei Takahashi
CEO of Usagi Co., Ltd. Toy developer and creator. Graduated from Tohoku University Graduate School. Joined Bandai Co., Ltd. Involved in the development of many popular products, including the worldwide hit "Infinite Bubble Wrap."
He became independent in 2014 and is currently involved in developing new products and services in collaboration with companies and local governments, and is active in a wide range of fields, including game and quiz production, writing, and lectures.
