On September 10th, a seminar by Professor Kutsuki Ryo of the Faculty of Policy and Information held a "Let's Head Out into the City - Rogaining Card Game" event in Nagareyama City.
This event is a local exploration game event in which participants use a walking tool (Rogaining card) created by the seminar to take photos of the "topics" written on the card within the time limit and collect points. This time, it was organized by the Nagareyama Civic Activities Promotion Center as part of an effort to revitalize the area, and 11 local residents participated on the day.
In the morning session, participants were divided into three teams and conducted a student-led Rogaining. Students joined each team and walked around the city with the participants, taking photos that fit the "theme". The Rogaining cards consisted of places related to history, nature, the environment, disaster prevention information, etc., and participants deepened their understanding of the area where they live through the game.
In the afternoon, a workshop was held where each team reviewed the photos of the places they had collected and considered ways to revitalize the area. Professor Kutsuki also gave a lecture on the culture of Nagareyama City, where participants rediscovered the charm of the area they were familiar with and thought about the future of Nagareyama City.
