Certificate issuance

We have introduced a "certificate issuance service" from April 2023.
The "Certificate Issuance Service" is a service that allows you to apply online for the issuance of the necessary certificates, pay by credit card or cash at a convenience store, and then use the multi-function copy machines installed in convenience stores nationwide (Seven-Eleven, Family Mart, Lawson) or receive the certificate by mail or as a PDF electronic certificate.

Issuance fee

500 yen (1 copy) + 150 yen (system usage fee) + 60 yen (printing fee*)

1. * Printing fees are required for each copy.

[By mail]

500 yen (per letter) + 150 yen (system usage fee) + postage

1. * For overseas shipments, we use EMS (Electrical Muscle Stimulation). For more information, please see the Japan Post website.

[In the case of electronic certificates]

500 yen (per copy) + 150 yen (system usage fee)

1. * You cannot send a digital certificate to yourself.

1. * Cannot be used overseas.

24 hours a day, 365 days a year

1. * This does not include maintenance times, including for various commercial services, or periods when operations at the University are suspended.

Printing deadline

Within 7 days of application

1. * Please note that you will not be able to print after midnight on the 8th day (printing fees cannot be refunded).
2. * If you pay at a convenience store (cash payment), please make the payment within 7 days of application.

Notes

• Refund Policy
  If you apply for the wrong number or type of certificates, we will not refund any fees that you have already paid, regardless of the reason.
• Regarding the description of the degree name
  The name of the degree obtained is not stated on the undergraduate or junior college graduation certificate (in Japanese). If you require a certificate of the name of the degree, please indicate this in the comments section of your application and select to receive it by mail.
• If receiving by mail
  Depending on the certificate you request, it may take anywhere from 3 days to 1 week to prepare.
• If you need a sealed seal
  It cannot be issued at a convenience store. When applying, please select mailing and check the "Yes" box for the mailing option to have it sealed.
• When submitting a certificate to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs
  The Ministry of Foreign Affairs (headquarters and overseas missions) does not accept certificates issued using POPITA®. If you are submitting to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, please indicate that the submission destination is the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in the [Comments] section of the application and select "Receive by mail."
• About printing digital watermarks
  Certificates printed at convenience stores are protected against forgery using POPITA® technology, and cannot be copied and used.
