地域志向活動助成金制度

Our university has established a Community-Oriented Activities Grant System to support individual or joint activities that contribute to community-oriented education, research, and social contribution.
Anyone who meets certain conditions can apply for this system, including researchers, students, and members of the general public, both inside and outside the university. We look forward to receiving your applications.
*From the 2019 application period, the name of this grant has changed from "Community-Oriented Research Grant" to "Community-Oriented Activity Grant."

Overview (2019)

Types of Grants There are two types of grants: "General Grants" and "Encouragement Grants"
  • General Grants
    Grants for individual or joint activities that are recognized as contributing to the university's community-oriented education, research, and social contributions
  • Incentive Subsidy
    Grants for activities that are applied for as general grants and that are deemed to be particularly beneficial for education, research, and social contributions through screening.
Grant amount "General subsidy" up to 300,000 yen, "Encouragement subsidy" up to 500,000 yen
Number of grants Up to 6 cases per fiscal year
Definition of "Region" In this system, the "region" refers to Ichikawa City and neighboring municipalities, or the entire Chiba Prefecture.
Activity period Wednesday, May 1, 2019 - Saturday, February 29, 2020
Application conditions
  • Applicants for individual and joint activities may be faculty, staff, students, or individuals from outside the university.
  • In the case of an individual who is not a full-time faculty member applying for individual activities, a full-time faculty member must apply as a "community activity advisor." The community activity advisor will be responsible for assisting in the management of activities and expenses.
    *If your university does not have an advisor, please contact the Community Collaboration Promotion Center (Student and Community Collaboration Division) in advance.
  • In the case of joint activities, if a person other than a full-time faculty member applies as a representative, a full-time faculty member must apply as the person responsible for budget execution. In addition, members of joint activities must include people from outside the university, and mutual benefits are expected from collaboration with the university.
How to apply Download the required form, fill in the necessary information, and submit the following three items to the Community Collaboration Promotion Center (Student and Community Collaboration Division). *Can be submitted by mail.

Application Period Friday, February 1st to Friday, March 29th, 2019, 17:00 *If sending by mail, applications must arrive by the last day
Notification of results All applicants will be notified by Friday, April 26, 2019
Presentation of activity results
(Only for those who have been selected as recipients)
  • Present the results of your activities in the projects of the Regional Collaboration Center (regionally-oriented courses, forums, seminars, etc.) and give back to the university.
  • If the results of the activity are presented outside the university, or if the activity itself is carried out, the recipient must state that he/she has received this grant in the medium of presentation or in an appropriate medium related to the activity.
  • The results of the activities will be compiled and submitted as a report, which will be posted on the university website.
