○Key points of the renewal
- Design as a platform for branding
The design was inspired by overseas trends, such as large images and bold, crisp colors. At the same time, the unique design, which uses large vertical images arranged in a panel format, expresses "challenge" and more intuitively appeals to the appeal of our university. - Smartphone First
Since February 2014, our university has been adopting a responsive design for its official website to improve viewability not only on PCs but also on tablets and smartphones. However, given that approximately 60% of users visiting the site access it from smartphones (as of April 2018), the new site has been designed from the ground up to be mobile-first.
We mainly use vertical images and videos so that the site can be viewed more clearly and attractively when viewed on a smartphone. In particular, the main visual on the top page uses a cinemagraph to create a live feel, as if the video is being played on a smartphone.
Additionally, the design is focused on viewing on smartphones, with links made into large buttons and panels that are easy to press on the small screen of a smartphone. - Easy to use navigation
The global navigation and target-specific navigation are designed to allow quick access to the desired location through easy-to-understand layout, fixed screen, use of icons, etc. At the same time, the header is made as thin as possible and the content area is made large, resulting in a design that is both stylish and easy to use. - Launch of owned media
We will disseminate information about the wide variety of initiatives being carried out at the university and connect the university with society.
