Research Associate Kazunari Togawa of the Faculty of Policy and Information Studies has received the Excellence Award at the 1st Japan Association of Social Relations Awards.
The Japan Association of Social Relations established this award in order to encourage research and education in social relations, civil society, and policy evaluation. The award was selected through an open call for submissions of publications and doctoral dissertations related to the field that were published and degrees awarded between January 1, 2021 and December 31, 2022.
This time, Research Associate Togawa's book "Urban Policy and Social Capital in the Capital Tokyo - Realizing Governance to Improve the QOL of Regional Development and Citizen Activity Policies and Reduce Disparities among the 23 Wards" (Koyo Shobo) was selected after a rigorous screening and selection process.

I would like to express my sincere gratitude for being nominated for the prestigious Japan Society for Social Relations' 1st Japan Society for Social Relations Award (Excellent Award). I would like to express my gratitude to the researchers who have helped me and to everyone who has cooperated with the research, for allowing me to present my research on urban policies and social capital in the capital of Tokyo to the world in this way as my doctoral thesis. I would also like to express my gratitude once again to the university's publication grant for giving me this valuable opportunity.
