Issuance of certificates to graduates

We have introduced a "certificate issuance service" from April 2023.
The "Certificate Issuance Service" is a service that allows you to apply online for the issuance of the necessary certificates, pay by credit card or cash at a convenience store, and then use the multi-function copy machines installed in convenience stores nationwide (Seven-Eleven, Family Mart, Lawson) or receive the certificate by mail or as a PDF electronic certificate.

How to apply

First-time user application

After you apply for initial use, the university will confirm the details and approve your application, and then your registration will be complete.

1. * Please note that it will take some time for confirmation and approval.
2. * If you do not know your student ID number, you may leave this field blank.

First-time use application for graduates

1. * Please note that we do not process applications on weekends, national holidays, or during periods when we are not handling administrative matters.
2. * The Graduate School is closed on Mondays. Applications are accepted from Tuesday to Saturday.

1. * Please do not attach the back of your My Number card. Also, your Individual Number (My Number) Notification Card cannot be used as identification.

How to issue

The method of issuing the certificate varies depending on the type of certificate.

• Convenience stores
• By mail
• Digital Certificate

1. * Graduates, students who completed their studies, and students who dropped out before 1988 will only receive their certificates by mail.
2. * Students who have graduated or completed their studies before enrolling in 2018 will only be able to receive their English transcripts by mail.

About sending electronic certificates online

The online electronic certificate delivery function is a service that allows various certificates to be sent directly to companies as electronic certificates (PDF) with guaranteed authenticity. The PDF data of the certificate is digitally signed and time-stamped to prevent tampering. If the PDF is tampered with after it is issued, an error message will be displayed when the PDF is opened.

1. * You cannot send the electronic certificate (PDF) to yourself.
2. * The "Submission address" you entered when applying will be printed on the certificate.

Notes

• Refund Policy
  If you apply for the wrong number or type of certificates, we will not refund any fees that you have already paid, regardless of the reason.
• Regarding the description of the degree name
  The name of the degree obtained is not stated on the undergraduate or junior college graduation certificate (in Japanese). If you require a certificate of the degree title, please indicate this in the comments section of your application and select to receive it by mail.
• If receiving by mail
  Depending on the certificate you request, it may take anywhere from 3 days to 1 week to prepare.
• Regarding issuance under a changed surname (first name)
  In principle, certificates will be issued under the name used at the time of enrollment. If you have changed your name or surname since enrollment and require a certificate showing your new name or surname, please contact Education Division before applying.
• Certificates of academic ability
  Please check with the institution where you are submitting the certificate to determine which legal format the certificate must be in, and then contact Education Division before submitting your application.
