Application details

1. Training Period

August 13th (Sun) to 26th (Sat), 2017 (14 days)

2. Training Content

Lectures in English, cultural experience tours, etc.

3. Training location

FPT University (Da Nang, Vietnam)

4. Number of applicants

3 people (minimum number of participants: 1 person)

5. Eligibility

  1. Applicants must be enrolled in the undergraduate program in 2017, be healthy, proactive, and cooperative.
  2. Those who are interested in Vietnamese culture and history
  3. Those who have the English proficiency to understand the content of lectures in English and participate in discussions

6. Costs

  1. Airfare: Approximately 90,000 yen (estimated)
  2. Travel procedure fee: Passport acquisition fee
  3. Overseas travel insurance: You must enroll in overseas travel insurance designated by the university.
  4. Food expenses: Breakfast, lunch and dinner are provided on weekdays. On weekends, students are responsible for their own meals.
  5. Transportation expenses: Local transportation expenses and round-trip transportation expenses from your home to Narita (Haneda) Airport
  6. Personal expenses: pocket money, phone bills, etc.

7. Notes

  1. This program is an exchange program between CUC Summer Program participating schools, so training fees, accommodation fees, and meal fees (with some exceptions) will be waived.
  2. In the event of a large number of applicants, priority will be given to students who participated as supporters in the 2016 Summer Program.
  3. You cannot join the program midway through.
  4. Driving a car or motorcycle is not permitted during the training period.
  5. Any activities or overnight stays outside of the designated itinerary are not permitted.
  6. This training is not credit-certified.
  7. This training will not be led by faculty or staff of our university. Please follow the instructions of FPT University staff on-site. Also, since this training is joint with other universities not only in Japan but also around the world, please act with awareness as a Chiba University of Commerce student.

8. Participant Information Session

Explanations will be provided at International Center of the Main Building from time to time.

9. Documents to be submitted at the time of application

  1. Application form (prescribed form)
  2. Academic transcript
  3. Health certificate

10. Application Method and Deadline

Please fill out the application form available at International Center Office (1st floor of the main building) and submit it along with your academic transcript and health certificate. Applicants will be interviewed to determine who will participate.
