Students provide full support to overseas students! Summer program held with students from 19 universities in 11 countries and regions

International Center

July 5, 2017

International Center will host the 2017 CUC Summer Program from Sunday, July 16th to Sunday, July 30th, inviting 57 students from 19 universities in 11 countries and regions: China, France, Germany, India, Israel, South Korea, Russia, Taiwan, the UK, the US, and Vietnam. The program will run for 15 days.

overview

  • The program has been held since 2011 with the aim of cultivating basic skills as members of society in the global era through communication with students from overseas. All programs are supported by students from our university, and over 170 students are registered as supporters. They accompany the students on sightseeing trips during their free time, and spend time interacting with the students from overseas.
  • The highlight of this year's event is the experience of wearing a yukata and sprinkling water on the road. Uchimizu is a Japanese culture that involves cooling down by sprinkling water on the road. In recent years, this has been reconsidered as a measure against global warming, and it will be an opportunity for students from all over the world, who will lead the next generation, to come together and think about global issues.

    Date: Wednesday, July 26th
Lecture: "Energy Saving and Creation Projects and Uchimizu" 15:00-15:50 (scheduled)
Water sprinkling experience 15:55-16:30 (scheduled) *Cancelled in case of rain

  • During the Japanese Culture & Japanese Language Course (July 18th) and the "2017 World Tour at CUC" (July 25th), we are also planning an exchange event inviting high school students who applied in advance at the open campus.
