1. Number of participants: 3
2. Host University: Rosenheim University of Applied Sciences (Rosenheim, Germany) Courses: Taught in English
3. Study abroad period: Late September 2018 to late February 2019
4. Eligibility requirements
Applicants must meet all of the following conditions:
(1) Students enrolled in an undergraduate program in the 2018 academic year (However, for Faculty of Global Studies, participation is subject to completion of the "Short-term Overseas Training Program").
(2) Those who have a strong desire to study subjects in English and have a TOEIC Listening score of 400 or higher and a TOEIC Reading score of 385 or higher
(3) A person who is cooperative, physically and mentally healthy, and can obtain the consent of a guarantor
(4) Excluding those who have a student visa and are enrolled at this university as international students
5. Selection Process
International Center will review the submitted documents, academic records, and interviews, and then make a decision. After receiving permission from Rosenheim University of Applied Sciences, the student will be accepted as an exchange student.

8. Expenses
(1) Tuition: Tuition fees for studying abroad at Rosenheim University of Applied Sciences will be waived. However, tuition fees for Chiba University of Commerce must be paid to the university during the period of study abroad.
(2) Travel Expenses: Chiba University of Commerce will cover the cost of one round-trip travel (airfare).
(3) Housing Costs: Recipients will be required to live in accommodation designated by the Rosenheim University of Applied Sciences. The cost of accommodation will be covered by Chiba University of Commerce.
(4) Other (self-paid expenses)
A. Living expenses in the host country (including food)

C. Textbooks and other related expenses not included in the tuition fee
D. Passport and visa fees
E. Costs for applying for exchange to Rosenheim University of Applied Sciences
F. Other expenses related to the exchange program excluding (1), (2), and (3)
9. Status during the study abroad period
During the study abroad period, students can take regular courses at Rosenheim University of Applied Sciences as exchange students. However, this will not be treated as a leave of absence from our university, as it will be treated as an exchange student period.
10. Pre-training
Those selected as exchange students will be required to take preparatory language training courses set by International Center according to their language level before studying abroad.
11. Courses (planned)
The courses must be offered in English at the Rosenheim University of Applied Sciences.
Fundamentals of Economics, Principles of Economic Policy, International Management, Business Management Seminar, Corporate Strategic Planning Simulations, Business English, etc.
12. Credit Accreditation
The process for credit recognition is as follows:
[Before studying abroad]
Students must create a course plan for the subjects for which they wish to receive credits based on the course program of Rosenheim University of Applied Sciences and submit the plan to International Center.
[Studying Abroad]
Once it has been confirmed that you have completed your course enrolment at your study abroad destination, you must promptly report the course(s) to International Center by attaching the syllabus and other relevant documents relating to the course(s).
[After studying abroad (returning to Japan)]
Credits for courses acquired at Rosenheim University of Applied Sciences during study abroad will be recognized as course credits at our university upon application by the student, up to the maximum number of credits that can be taken per semester, after review. In addition, credits for the following courses listed in the curriculum table of each faculty will be recognized by completing the prescribed procedures, such as submitting assignments.
- Faculty of Commerce and Business Administration
A. "Overseas Cultural Studies" (2 credits)
After returning home, students submit a report on the foreign culture, and if the content is satisfactory, they will be awarded credits.
B. "Special overseas training" (2 credits)
After returning to Japan, students submit a report on a topic of interest related to their major science, and if the content is satisfactory, they will be awarded credits. - School of Policy and Information Studies
A. "Overseas Foreign Language Training I, II" (4 credits)
Certification will be granted upon approval by Professor council.
B. "Overseas Cultural Studies I" (2 credits)
After returning home, students submit a report on the foreign culture, and if the content is satisfactory, they will be awarded credits. - Faculty of Service Innovation
*Appropriate instructions will be given regarding the report assignments A and B below.
A. "Overseas training" (2 credits)
This will be a comprehensive evaluation of the study abroad institution and the submitted report.
B. "Overseas Cultural Studies 1" (2 credits)
After returning home, students will submit a report and will be given credits if it is determined that their results exceed the passing grade. - Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences
A. "Overseas training" (2 credits)
Credits will be awarded based on the evaluation by the study abroad institution and approval by Professor council.
B. "Overseas Cultural Studies" (2 credits)
After returning home, students will submit a report and will be given credits if it is determined that their results exceed the passing grade. - Faculty of Global Studies
Certification will be granted upon approval by Professor council.
A. For a 6-month program, "Special Overseas Training I" (2 credits)
A. For a one-year program, "Special Overseas Training I" (2 credits) and "Special Overseas Training II" (2 credits)
