We are looking for participants for a program at National Taipei University of Business (NTUB) in Taiwan where students will take English classes together with exchange students from other universities around the world.
The program is part of the CUC Summer Program (held July 8-22 this year) which allows international students to study Japanese politics and economics and experience Japanese culture at our university. The program's appeal is that participants can basically participate free of charge.
Improving your language skills and understanding different cultures are necessary qualities in a global society. Experience abroad is a chance to hone these skills. We encourage you to apply.

August 5th (Sun) to 18th (Sat), 2018 (14 days) (planned)

National Taipei University of Commerce (Taipei, Taiwan)
3. Program Overview
Learning Chinese in English, experiencing Taiwanese culture, cultural tours, etc.
4. Number of applicants
5 people (minimum number of participants: 1 person)
5. Eligibility
- Applicants must be undergraduate students enrolled in the 2018 academic year, in good health, and proactive and cooperative in all they do.
- Those who want to learn Chinese and are interested in Taiwanese culture and history
- Those who have the English proficiency to understand the content of lectures in English and participate in discussions
6. Costs
- Airfare: Approximately 60,000 yen (estimated)
- Travel procedure fee: Passport acquisition fee
- Overseas travel insurance: You must enroll in overseas travel insurance designated by the university.
- Food expenses: Breakfast and lunch provided by the school, dinner and free days are at your own expense
- Accommodation cost: Hostel fee: Approximately 8,700 Taiwanese dollars (estimated)
- Transportation expenses: Local transportation expenses and round-trip transportation expenses from your home to the airport (Narita or Haneda)
- Personal expenses: pocket money, phone bills, etc.
7. Notes
- This program is an exchange program between CUC Summer Program participating schools, so training fees and some meal fees will be waived.
- In the event of a large number of applicants, priority will be given to students who have taken part in recent CUC summer programs or who have participated as supporters.
- You cannot join the program midway through.
- Driving (cars/motorcycles) is not permitted during the training period.
- Any activities or overnight stays outside of the designated itinerary are not permitted.
- This training is not credit-certified.
- This training will not be led by faculty or staff of our university. Please follow the instructions of the staff of National Taipei University of Commerce on-site. In addition, this training is not only a joint training with Chiba University of Commerce but also with other universities around the world, so please act with awareness as a Chiba University of Commerce student.

10. Application Method and Deadline
Please fill out the application form available at International Center Office (1st floor of the main building) and submit it along with your health certificate. Applicants will be interviewed to determine whether they will be able to participate.
