1. Training Period

February 4th (Mon) to February 17th (Sun), 2019 (14 days) (planned)

2. Training location

Lille 1 University, College of Industrial Technology A (Lille, France)

3. Program Overview

Classes to learn French in English, cultural experiences, interaction with local students, etc.

4. Number of applicants

4 people (minimum number of participants: 2 people)

5. Eligibility

  1. Applicants must be undergraduate students enrolled in the 2018 academic year who are healthy, proactive, and cooperative.
  2. Those who are interested in French culture and history
  3. Those who have a level of English proficiency sufficient for everyday communication

6. Costs

  1. Airfare: Approximately 130,000 yen (subject to change)
  2. Travel procedure fee: Passport acquisition fee
  3. Overseas travel insurance: You must enroll in overseas travel insurance designated by the university.
  4. Food expenses: Expenses for meals other than those provided in the dormitory (breakfast, lunch, dinner)
  5. Tour fee: Tour participation fee for taking part in a weekend tour (if desired)
  6. Transportation expenses: Local transportation expenses and round-trip transportation expenses from your home to Narita (Haneda) Airport
  7. Personal expenses: Free activities, pocket money, phone charges, etc.

7. Notes

  1. This program is an exchange program for CUC Summer Program participating schools, so training fees, accommodation fees, and meal fees will be waived.
  2. In the event of a large number of applicants, priority will be given to students who have participated in the most recent summer program as participants or supporters.
  3. You cannot join the program midway through.
  4. Driving (cars or motorcycles) is not permitted during the training period.
  5. Any activities or overnight stays outside of the designated itinerary are not permitted.
  6. This training is not credit-certified.
  7. This training will not be supervised by faculty or staff of our university. Please follow the instructions of Lille 1 University College of Industrial Technology A while on-site. Please act with the awareness of being a Chiba University of Commerce student.

9. Documents to be submitted at the time of application

  1. Application form (prescribed form)
  2. Health certificate

10. Application Method and Deadline

Please fill out and submit the application form available at International Center Office (1st floor of the main building). Applicants will be interviewed to determine who will participate.
