Selling collaboration products proposed and developed by students to spread the "Jets Girls" movement

The Chiba Jets Project, which is part of the Faculty of Service Innovation regular course "Project Practice 3C" (instructor: Nakamura Akihiro, full-time lecturer, Faculty of Service Innovation), has teamed up with official supporter companies Samantha Thavasa Japan Limited (CEO: Terada Kazumasa) and Chiba Jets Funabashi Co., Ltd. (CEO: Shimada Shinji) to begin selling products in collaboration with SAMANTHA VEGA.

The "Chiba Jets Project" was launched as an attempt to raise awareness of the Chiba Jets Funabashi, increase revenue, and gain fans, while at the same time raising the profile of our university. The project members, students from Faculty of Service Innovation, have been involved in various initiatives, such as planning and running fan service events.

Starting in 2016, the team launched the "Jets Girls" movement to increase the number of female fans of the Chiba Jets Funabashi. In January 2017, in an effort to further expand the circle, the team approached Samantha Thavasa Japan Limited about a collaboration. The team developed a product with the company's brand, "SAMANTHA VEGA," and students were involved in proposing the product, deciding on the color scheme through social media voting, promoting the product, and supporting the launch event. The team plans to continue developing the second collaborative product, promoting sales, and expanding other collaborations.

コラボ商品In the planning stage, the Chiba Jets Project came up with a system to let people vote on the base color of the bag on social media. As a result, they developed three items: a bag and wallet based on the popular Jets red, and a charm with a megaphone image. They were particular about making the bag the right size to hold Jets goods and suitable for everyday use.
