Vo Thi Xuong, a fourth-year student Faculty of Global Studies from Vietnam, has been appointed as one of Chiba Prefecture's (Governor: Kumagai Toshihito) "Chiba-kun Global Partners for 2024."
Chiba-kun Global Partners is an initiative that aims to make Chiba a prefecture where all residents can live in peace, regardless of nationality or culture, and involves cooperation in a variety of activities, including "participating in opinion exchange meetings and conducting surveys," "disseminating information for foreigners by the prefecture in the event of a disaster," "participating in and promoting the attractions of events and monitor tours held by the prefecture," and "creating a prefecture where it is easy to live."
On April 18th, the appointment ceremony for the "Chiba-kun Global Partners" was held at the Chiba Prefectural Office, and a total of 23 people from 11 countries and regions, including the United States, Taiwan, and Peru, were appointed. The appointment period will run until the end of March 2025. We look forward to seeing Suong's future success.
I applied to become a Chiba-kun Global Partner because I wanted to contribute to foreigners living in Chiba Prefecture. I would like to cooperate in making Chiba Prefecture an even more comfortable place for foreigners to live, by quickly disseminating disaster information in Vietnamese and sharing information about Chiba's attractions.
