The Service Creation Awards 2024 was held to solicit ideas for new services from high school students nationwide, with the aim of raising awareness of the importance of service creation in society. This year, a total of 802 entries were submitted from 23 schools across the country about "episodes of 'problems' experienced in everyday life."
The submitted works were comprehensively evaluated to determine the winners based on the following criteria: "Is the problem shared by many people?", "Has the problem already been solved by some company?", "Is the idea or perspective unique?", "Was the episode described in detail?", and "Is the writing accurate and easy to understand?".

Comments (Key points for winning the award)
For this year's Service Creation Awards, as with last year, we invited stories about everyday problems that could lead to new service ideas, rather than new service ideas themselves. After rigorous screening by the judging committee, there was no work eligible for this year's Grand Prize. The Excellence Awards were awarded to stories that anticipate actual needs or that were inspired by everyday problems and that have the potential to solve social issues, and so were evaluated as excellent stories this time.
