In order to contribute to a sustainable society, Chiba University of Commerce has achieved the first ever 100% renewable energy university (electricity) in Japan, where the amount of electricity generated is equal to the amount of electricity consumed.
As a 100% renewable energy university, we will be holding the "10th National High School Student Environmental Speech Contest" to provide an opportunity for high school students, who will be the future leaders of Japanese society, to present their own thoughts on important social issues such as global warming countermeasures and energy problems, and how we can build a sustainable society. We look forward to the participation of many high school students.
