On June 30th, the commissioning ceremony for the 2025 "Sammu City Support Student Corps" was held at Sammu City Hall in Chiba Prefecture, and 59 students were appointed.

In November 2021, Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences and Sammu City signed a collaboration and cooperation agreement with the aim of revitalizing the local area. To date, students have produced a promotional video for Sammu City, developed and sold beer and dressings made from vegetables grown in Sammu City, and in 2023 held the ``Rice Field Art Commemorating the 150th Anniversary of the Founding of Chiba Prefecture'' in the city.

In order to make this initiative applicable to all faculties in the future, an agreement was signed between the university and Sammu City on May 13th.

In 2025, to coincide with the 20th anniversary of the establishment of Sammu City, we plan to develop products using Sammu City's specialty products and hold Sammu City Bonsai Experience Tours (Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries' 2027 International Horticultural Exposition Momentum Creation Project), and will continue to carry out activities to promote the city's appeal, increase awareness, and revitalize the region.

At the commissioning ceremony, Ogawa Mayu, a graduate of our university and a city employee who has been active as a member of the Sammu City Support Student Squad, gave a message of encouragement to the juniors, and Mayor Matsushita Hiroaki expressed his expectations, saying, "We are also planning a ceremony to celebrate the 20th anniversary of Sammu City's establishment in March next year. We are looking forward to your passion, energy, and various ideas, so we hope you will all join us in making it a success."
