On May 16th, we invited Mr. Hideki Takami, Planning Officer and Manager of the Higher Education Policy Office of the Higher Education Planning Division of the Higher Education Bureau of the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology, to hold a training session for teaching staff.

Mr. Takami gave a lecture on trends in higher education policy, focusing on the "Future Vision for Improving Japan's 'Sum of Knowledge' - Reconstructing the Higher Education System (Report)" compiled by the Central Council for Education on February 21st.

This training session was held with the aim of further improving and promoting the quality of education, research, and social contribution activities at our university. On the day, there was a question and answer session on topics such as "how universities and other institutions should collaborate with local communities," "measures for promoting learner-centered education," and "promoting the acceptance of diverse students such as international students." Many participants commented that "learning about trends in higher education policy was an opportunity to think about future directions," making it a valuable opportunity.

In addition, Mr. Takami and other staff members from the Higher Education Policy Office and the Regional University Promotion Office who visited the university expressed interest and expectations for the university's initiatives and student activities after touring the facilities and observing classes.
