On July 31st, we held the "CUC Fan Meeting," where students and faculty and staff exchanged opinions across faculties, departments, and grades.
The 91 students who participated were divided into small groups, with undergraduate students in the first part and mixed-faculty groups in the second part, where they exchanged opinions on themes such as proactive learning methods and challenges at university. Each group was facilitated by a faculty member, and the session proceeded in a friendly and cheerful atmosphere from start to finish.

At the end of the first and second parts, a representative student from each group summarized the opinions expressed and presented them. The students from the other groups listened intently.

In a survey of participating students conducted after the meeting, 100% of students responded that they were "satisfied" or "somewhat satisfied" with the event, demonstrating the high level of support from the participating students.

Student comments

  • By learning about opinions that I had never thought of myself and the activities and attitudes of students from other departments, I was able to realize the shortcomings of my own thinking.
  • Because the teachers and other students were proactive in speaking up, I was able to express my opinions as well. I think I was able to overcome my fear of speaking in front of people.
  • It was a great opportunity to exchange ideas with faculty and staff about how the university can further develop.
  • It was interesting because I didn't have many opportunities to hear honest opinions from students. I would like to make use of this experience to further enrich my student life.
  • Having the opportunity to express my opinions to the teacher and the class was a very meaningful experience that will lead to future improvements.
