Contributing to regional revitalization through product development

In collaboration with Ezawa Fruit Land, a tourist blueberry farm in Kisarazu City, Chiba Prefecture, we have been selling "Tenaciously Grown Blueberry Drinkable Fruit Vinegar" since March 2019. This product was developed with the aim of contributing to the revitalization of the inland area of Kisarazu City, which is facing population decline and industrial decline, by promoting blueberries grown in Kisarazu City, Chiba Prefecture, as a specialty product of Kisarazu City.
The students proposed product names and promotions for processed foods using blueberries, and Ezawa Fruit Land produced the products. They also worked to promote the products in cooperation with the Kisarazu City Industry and Startup Support Center (Raz-Biz), which is responsible for sales promotion.

I participated from the product planning stage, but the negotiations to develop sales channels were particularly memorable. I approached a roadside station to negotiate, but I was nervous at first because I was unfamiliar with making appointments and negotiating meeting dates. However, I think that this experience helped me acquire the communication skills necessary for working adults while still a student.
