Seminars are classes in which full-time faculty members set a research theme each semester and students independently conduct research activities around that theme. These are compulsory courses for graduation and are divided into "Seminar 1" for second-year students, "Seminar 2" for third-year students, and "Graduation Research (Seminar 3)" for fourth-year students.
Graduation research is a class in which students present the results of research they have learned in seminars and other classes over the four years of university in the form of a graduation thesis or other work. The faculty members who supervise students on their graduation thesis and other work are the faculty members in charge of the fourth-year seminar.
The goal is to have students spend four years at university completing a course that will enable them to confidently say to others, "I have studied and mastered this specialized field."
