Compulsory for all second-year students!! Cultivating a global mindset through study abroad
Studying abroad is a stepping stone to learning
Studying abroad at Faculty of Global Studies is a compulsory second-year course called "Overseas Training." In other words, it is not only those who wish to study abroad who do so; all students who enter Faculty of Global Studies are expected to study abroad by the time they reach their second year. Studying abroad is the main event in the first half of university life, and students can choose the training period from short-term, medium-term, or long-term depending on their purpose. While studying in an environment with a different language and culture, students will improve their language skills and develop a global mindset based on real-life experiences, and develop the human skills to adapt to various situations, such as working in the world, working with the world, and welcoming the world.
- * The choice of training period is subject to the participation conditions of our faculty and the host university.
Going abroad does not mean studying abroad!
Studying abroad is not just about going abroad.
If you are unable to connect your pre-study learning, including post-study reflection, to your learning in your third year and beyond, then you will have merely experienced life abroad. Setting goals for your study abroad, making a study plan based on those goals, and preparing before you leave will enable you to have a meaningful and productive study abroad experience. Faculty of Global Studies will enhance the results of your "overseas training" by providing consistency between learning before, during, and after your study abroad.

Deciding on a study abroad destination
A decision is made early in the second year based on a comprehensive assessment of factors such as grades in the language chosen and the reasons for choosing the study abroad destination through interviews etc. However, we may not be able to accommodate all requests if there is a high volume of applicants or depending on the host destination's acceptance requirements.
*In order to study abroad, you must meet certain conditions (such as English or Chinese proficiency test scores, completion of required subjects in the first year, and total number of credits).
Study abroad and credit recognition
Those who complete the prescribed program will receive a program completion certificate from the host university. After returning home, students will submit a completion certificate and a training report, and their language proficiency will be confirmed. Credits will be awarded based on a comprehensive evaluation.
*For long-term programs, credits earned through courses offered at the host university will be recognized.
