Diploma Policy
Students who are enrolled for a prescribed period or more, take subjects established in accordance with the educational philosophy of this course, and acquire the required credits while equipping themselves with excellent culture and deep specialized knowledge, as well as present an interim report of their research results and pass the examination of their master's thesis or specific project and the final examination, will be awarded a Master's degree in Economics.
Curriculum Policy (Policy for organizing and implementing the curriculum)
In order to develop researchers and highly specialized professionals in the field of economics, students will systematically study economic theory, economic history, economic policy, etc., which will enable them to explore the economy. This will enable them to conduct specialized and comprehensive research, and effectively acquire knowledge in related fields. The educational goal is to develop human resources who can consider the real economy from a broad perspective and create knowledge, and the curriculum is organized as follows.
- Students will select courses (major courses) that are directly related to the writing of their master's thesis or a specific project, as well as courses in other fields that are suited to their own career path and research theme.
- Students will read basic and top-level books and papers in their chosen field of expertise (economic theory, economic history, economic policy, economics-related laws) to gain in-depth knowledge. While respecting the students' autonomy, the supervising professor will guide them to delve deeply into their research field and to be able to respond promptly to real-world trends such as diversification and internationalization.
- Students write master's theses based on specific historical issues, or tackle specific issues. To this end, they make interim presentations once in their second year with the participation of faculty members, who provide advice from multiple and multifaceted perspectives.
