Learn bookkeeping, a tool that will become a tool in the business world!
Benefits of learning bookkeeping
In order to succeed in the business world, you need to understand three languages that are a means of communication (natural language...linguistics, artificial language...computer, accounting language...bookkeeping and accounting).
Among these, bookkeeping and accounting, which are accounting languages, involve clearly recording and reporting a company's management and financial status.
Bookkeeping and accounting are essential knowledge as long as there is money moving around in society. By mastering bookkeeping and accounting, you can accurately read the state of a company through data, and it is a valuable tool in the business world regardless of industry or occupation.
To master bookkeeping
In addition to regular lectures, we also support your bookkeeping skills with free study sessions.
Learn bookkeeping from the basics in regular classes!
Beginners can learn the very basics of bookkeeping and accounting in the first-year compulsory subjects "Elementary Bookkeeping I and II" or "Elementary Accounting I and II." Students can also aim to pass the Nissho Bookkeeping Examination Level 3 in the approximately two-month study period starting in April.
In addition, the regular course "Special Bookkeeping Lectures" will meet twice a week to provide group instruction tailored to students' abilities, helping them thoroughly master the fundamentals of bookkeeping and supporting them in obtaining qualifications.
Research Center for Accounting "Mizuho-kai"
In addition to the regular classes, we hold a free study group called "Mizuho-kai" for students who are aiming to pass the Nissho Bookkeeping Level 1 exam. At Mizuho-kai, students can receive guidance tailored to their actual situation and abilities, and can study whenever they have free time in a dedicated classroom. In addition, a full-time teacher is always on-site, so you can feel free to consult with us.
In addition to the 1st level Nissho Bookkeeping exam, students can also take lectures on the accounting subjects (bookkeeping and financial statements) required for the tax accountant exam.

Department of Commerce Faculty of Commerce and Business Administration (Awa High School graduate)
I didn't have any particular purpose in entering Faculty of Commerce and Business Administration, I just wanted to find something I wanted to do at university. Since I was in General Course at high school, I didn't know anything about bookkeeping, let alone whether I was interested in it or not. When I think of business, I think of marketing and logistics, and I had the image of dealing with things rather than money. However, since I was thinking about getting some kind of qualification since I entered university, I chose the 3rd grade exam class for beginners' bookkeeping. The regular class aims to acquire basic knowledge of bookkeeping, but the exam class aims to take the certification exam in June, soon after entering the university, and pass it. I only studied bookkeeping for two months, but I was able to pass. To be honest, it was easier than I thought, or rather, I had plenty of time. So, I decided to aim for the 2nd and 1st grade exams at Mizuho-kai next.
A real-world example of usefulness
Mizuhokai's prep courses are packed with classes from 9am to 5pm on weekdays, on Saturdays and during summer vacation. The amount of assignments and exercises is huge, so it's hard enough to just complete them, but on the other hand, Mizuhokai alone is enough to improve your skills. The more you understand, the more you want to know, and the teachers answer your questions carefully. I'm the type of person who wants to do something until I'm satisfied, so I think it was good that I was in this environment. However, as you go up from level 3 to level 2 and from level 2 to level 1, you need twice as much knowledge, and I spend my days studying like I never had the time when I passed level 3. Fortunately, I passed both levels 2 and 1 on the first try, but I won't deny that I wanted to be free as soon as possible!
The study at Mizuho-kai is for the Nissho Bookkeeping exam, but we are not just studying for the qualification. By studying bookkeeping, we understand companies, and by solving problems, we can see the situation. We feel that we are learning knowledge that will be useful in the real world, and I think that this will give us confidence in finding a job.
It's important to have motivation and goals!
There were many people around me who had graduated from Commerce Course, but even if you studied bookkeeping in high school, if you don't have the qualifications when you enter university, everyone will be on the same starting line at university. I think the important thing is to have motivation and set goals. Of course, I have a big goal of passing, but I also try to set small goals for my daily studies. For example, if there is something I don't understand or I got wrong, I decide not to leave it until the next day and solve it on the same day. In this way, I was able to overcome one hurdle after another.
The advantage of passing the Nissho Bookkeeping Level 1 exam early in my studies is that I will be eligible for tuition reduction as a scholarship student. Also, I now have more time and options to try for other qualifications. I am currently interested in the real estate, labor and social insurance, and financial planning exams, but to be honest, I would like to spend a normal summer vacation before starting to study for them!
