Class Introduction:Improve your expression skills and sensibility! "3D CG Expression"

楜沢 順教授

Using the professional production software "Maya," you will learn the basics of 3D CG character modeling and animation. 3D CG is indispensable in the entertainment world, but creators are not only required to have the skills to use the software, but also to have a rich imagination. Please watch movies, videos, games, etc. that use 3D CG on a daily basis, and always try to think about what you want to do with 3D CG and how you can create it. In addition, please take "Basics of Image Expression" as a prerequisite for this class.
Expression is the universal language of the world. In this class, you will acquire the skills and hone your sensibilities required for 3D CG expression, and take a step towards becoming a creator active around the world.

Class Introduction:From basics to applications, find your own way of using images! "Image Expression Basics" "Image Expression"

吉羽 一之専任講師

"Basics of Image Expression" and "Image Expression" are classes in which students learn in stages, from the basics to advanced applications, how to use Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop, which are essential for creating works in a digital environment, and acquire techniques for conveying information.
In "Image Expression Basics," students aim to learn the basic operations of the application. Operations vary depending on what you want to create, so I hope students will find their own way of using the application and discover the fun of creating things. In "Image Expression," students will then learn practical operations and tackle practical tasks such as making posters and flyers.
We are surrounded by information, but the things we see every day are all made with careful consideration of how they can be better communicated. Let's observe and analyze them carefully, develop the perspective of a creator, and hone our ability to freely express our ideas.

How to learn by making a program

You can learn everything from planning, shooting, editing and internet distribution of videos in a digital studio equipped with professional equipment, including shooting in a recording room, cutting-edge real-time non-linear editing using digital video and computers in the editing room, and 5.1ch audio editing.
In addition, the CUC information program that is aired on campus every week is produced primarily by students from the Faculty of Policy and Information Studies.

Broadcast Floor

Broadcast Floor

The presenters who read their scripts to the camera, the cameramen who film them, and the sound engineers are all students. Many programs and video works are broadcast from this floor.

High-definition monitor

High-definition monitor

We have installed 10 high-definition monitors, the same ones used in professional video production. The monitors lined up in the center of the studio are just like those in a TV station.

Digital Video Switcher

Digital Video Switcher

With the flick of a switch, a switcher changes which camera's footage is being broadcast. It plays a major role, and the timing of the switch is crucial.

High-definition camera

High-definition camera

We own a total of eight cameras, including three high-definition cameras, so you can always capture beautiful, powerful footage.

Master Monitor

Master Monitor

An OLED monitor for checking how the image will look on an actual TV screen. The image you see here will then be broadcast.

Video editing PC

Video editing PC

We have installed high definition PCs for editing, allowing you to connect high quality footage to create the work you envision.
