Gain a deeper understanding of social business
Starting in 2016, all first-year students have been working on creating a booklet introducing companies and organizations that contribute to society through their business activities. The Faculty of Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences aims to develop "talented people who can create a people-friendly society through business and work," and students will study social business, which is a business that works to solve social issues, as a pillar of their four-year studies. By interviewing companies and organizations that are working to solve social issues, writing articles, and compiling them into a booklet, students will deepen their understanding of social contribution activities and social business.

I covered the "Sekkisei SAVE the BLUE Project," an activity to protect the blue earth by cosmetics manufacturer Kose. In my undergraduate classes, I learned that the value of a company is not only measured by profits, but also by the degree of its contribution to society, and I was keenly aware of this during my preparatory studies and the interview. I would like to think about how I can contribute to society on a daily basis.
