Features of Department of Policy Informatics
- Collaborating with local governments to acquire skills that can be used in the real world
- Cultivate the ability to consider the attractions and challenges of the region
- Learn various methods for solving problems through three courses
Regional Policy Course
Learn to think about city systems and services based on administrative and legal knowledge, and gain the ability to solve problems
PICK UPRegional Policy Research Group
The Regional Policy Research Group is a place for undergraduate students aiming to pass the civil service exam to learn and interact, and through various projects they deepen their understanding of social issues and generate new ideas that lead to problem solving.
Developing games that allow participants to experience social issues
We plan and create games with the aim of making people feel that local issues and local government financial issues are personal issues and thinking about specific measures to revitalize the community. We hold game-style workshops for students and local people.
Creating a map to introduce the area's attractions and evacuation routes
Through fieldwork, students will gather information to be included on the map and develop a concept. Students will then come up with a design based on the concept and create it using an online app. Students will gain a broader perspective through the skills to give shape to their image and through collaboration with other fields.
Regional Management Course
Acquire knowledge for regional revitalization and business thinking skills, and aim to become a talent that can revitalize the town.
PICK UPRegional Promotion
We are working to use technology to make problems with government services and social issues visible and to solve them. In addition to promoting the appeal of the town to local residents through the media, we are exploring ways to solve various issues faced by government agencies.
Introducing the city's charms with the Sound AR system
Using Sony Corporation's Sound AR service "Locatone™", we have created content that allows you to experience an audio-guided walking tour of the city. The content introduces the charms of the area that students discovered through their field research.
Political Media Course
Learn how to communicate the appeal of a region and solutions to problems through media and design
PICK UPProjection mapping production
We produce projection mapping as a form of digital content to promote the appeal of the region. By making full use of our professional environment, you can learn a wide range of skills, including planning, scriptwriting, photography, illustration, and editing.
Participated in the Tokyo International Projection Mapping Awards
We participated in the Tokyo International Projection Mapping Awards, Japan's largest projection mapping contest, and our work was projected on the outer wall of the Tokyo Big Sight Conference Building during the final screening. By participating in such a high-level, practical event, we were able to raise our awareness as creators.
Expected career paths
Many students have achieved their dream jobs in a wide range of industries, including financial institutions and the civil service.
