Make everyone's wishes come true and do what they want.
Sustainability talent refers to people who learn and act with the aim of not only achieving economic growth and improving happiness, but also improving society and the natural environment, for the sake of those of us living today and future generations.
In modern society, the ability to think and act to realize a sustainable society is required in both corporate activities and public policy.
As a result, sustainability talent can be expected to play an active role throughout their lives in a wide range of industries, including the service industry, finance, manufacturing, agriculture, forestry, fisheries, and local government.
Practice in Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences to Achieve Well-Being
TOPICSUnderstandingthe well-being of people, society and nature
In order to become a sustainability talent, it is also important to understand "well-being." Well-being refers to an individual's physical, mental, and social condition. It is a concept that has been researched by international organizations such as the World Health Organization (WHO) and the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD), and has been incorporated into the Japanese government's policies.
In recent years, companies and government agencies have been actively working to create a sustainable society. In Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, we aim not only to improve the happiness of individuals and the economic growth of society, but also to ensure that the connections and natural environment that make these possible are "good." In the first year, students will deepen their basic understanding of "well-being of people, society, and nature," and then develop their studies in the faculty.
