Sociology is a field of study that studies human social behavior, social structure, culture, and systems, with themes such as family, work, and the environment. In Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, we analyze a wide range of themes from a sociological perspective in order to understand social structures and people's behavior. This allows us to come up with better solutions to the various problems and issues facing modern society.

Learn how your daily meals are connected to social issues!
We live in an age of plenty, where cheap and delicious food is available anytime, anywhere. However, Japan's food self-sufficiency rate is below 40%, and the production site is far away from our dining tables, leading to widespread indifference. Food and agriculture have become a black box, with various inequalities and sacrifices, and the reality is that large amounts of food are wasted. From food consumers to those involved. Thinking about a sustainable future starting with a single banana.
Why focus on "experience" now?
This is because people's tastes are changing from "things" to "experiences"!
A variety of "experiences" such as content tourism to visit the settings of anime and dramas, music festivals, and sports events are gaining attention.
