Doctoral thesis guidance content
The course covers sustainability in general, and thoroughly surveys previous research from a consistent perspective on the research topic. It reviews and organizes a vast amount of previous research from an original perspective, and objectively analyzes unsolved issues. In particular, with regard to ESG, SDGs, and corporate governance, which are areas of expertise, students will receive detailed, step-by-step guidance on selecting a research topic, how to think about the issues, introducing previous research, and completing a doctoral thesis. Specifically, students will receive guidance on case study methods that make use of their experience in government and business through industry-government-academia, membership in the Japan Society for Business Ethics and the Global Business Association, guidance on how to write a survey paper as the first part of the Policy Studies Review, guidance on how to write an academic paper as the second part, and guidance on how to report at an academic conference. Students will aim to pass the public hearing within the standard period, and then obtain a doctorate as soon as possible.
