Creating a people-friendly society
Research Themes
Modern Japanese society faces many major challenges, such as a declining birthrate and the decline of rural areas. Recently, another major challenge has arisen: COVID-19. However, there are also new trends, such as businesses trying to solve these social issues, trends to create a "society" that is friendly to "people," such as revitalizing local areas through tourism, and new trends such as the SDGs. In this seminar, we learn about these new trends both theoretically and practically.
Activities
In the seminar, students learn about the real world by carrying out fieldwork in order to participate in contests such as tourism and town revitalization.
