I like people, I have a wide network of friends, and everyone is friendly.
Research Themes
In the Teshigahara seminar, we conduct research on local revitalization based on the concept of social work. These research activities are not limited to the campus, but we go out into the city and actively engage with local residents. When we actually go out into the city, we can hear about various problems and concerns from local residents. We always start by looking at everything from a positive perspective and thinking about how we can meet the other person's wishes. In the Teshigahara seminar, we have many opportunities to interact with adults of various ages and positions in the community, and I feel that this contributes to the growth of our students.
Activities
We are involved in the "Sanmu Rice Field Art Project," where we draw art in rice fields together with local residents in Sanmu City, Chiba Prefecture, and in supporting Kobayashi Farm, which moved to Sanmu City after the Great East Japan Earthquake. We are also working to promote organic vegetables grown in Sanmu City and contribute to the revitalization of the region. In these activities, we value the "connections between people," and we are committed to maintaining ongoing connections rather than simply volunteering or helping out. Products born from these connections include "Sanmu Wagyu Beef," "Green Onion Sausage," "Green Onion Dressing," and "CUC Blend (Coffee)." We also travel to Taiwan, Finland, and other countries for international exchange. Students themselves appear on the radio program "Chiba University of Commerce Faculty Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences Presents Teaching Materials are People and Towns" on Ichikawa Urara FM (FM 83.0 MHz) to share information about these activities.

It's so much fun to interact with so many different people! I was able to gain a deeper understanding of the true meaning of the phrase "connections are important." The unique feature of the Teshigahara seminar is that it allows me to have these experiences!

Appearing on (producing) a radio program is a valuable experience. By introducing the seminar activities we are doing, we can also acquire presentation skills. In addition, the seminar students are very friendly with each other and the atmosphere is homely.
