Accounting and finance can be so much fun!
Research Themes
When you hear the words "accounting" and "finance," what do you imagine? You probably think it sounds difficult. This is half true, but on the other hand, it is wrong. For example, those of you who have studied bookkeeping may not have had much idea of what the skills are useful for. However, if you take a look at the daily TV news, you will see company presidents explaining their company's performance. Yes, that is one of the results of the bookkeeping you have learned.
You may not yet know whether you will start your own company or work as a manager in a company in the future. However, accounting and finance will be useful in some way no matter what career you choose. In this seminar, we are researching the roles and limitations of accounting and finance, as well as how they relate to corporate management.
Activities
- Through discussions with people from multiple companies, students will learn about business practices, organizational management, and various problem-solving methods. This will help to link business fields, which tend to be overly theory-oriented, with business as much as possible.
- Sub-seminars
Students aspiring to work in financial institutions will learn about finance-related legal matters (Civil Law (mainly obligation and property law), Corporate Law, etc.) and the accounting and financial concepts required by CFOs (Chief Financial Officers) through a discussion format, mainly using cases as examples.
In particular, the latter sub-seminar aims to train highly skilled professionals, so students must have a very strong desire to participate in classes.
