A marketing seminar that turns things you didn't realize into questions and turns them into certainties
Research Themes
The seminar aims to have students learn about marketing for profit-making organizations (profit-making companies) and non-profit organizations through group learning, and to develop the ability to view society from the perspective of marketing and consumer behavior.
The course also aims to develop students' ability to observe actual corporate marketing activities by moving back and forth between the "theory" of marketing and consumer behavior and the "business" of marketing activities and consumer phenomena.
Activities
In the seminars, we conduct group presentations and group discussions on textbooks, as well as blind testing of new products. In group presentations, students form groups of three and summarize the main points of the textbook, points of doubt, and the contents of discussions. In the seminars, we place emphasis on acquiring the ability to grasp the main points of the textbook, organize the contents of discussions, and convey one's opinions to others.
In the seminars, students are able to link the theories from their textbooks with case studies, which helps them to turn things they didn't realize before into questions that turn into understandings and confidence, allowing them to experience the fascinating world of marketing.
During the seminar camp, we will select areas that will serve as examples of marketing and consumer behavior and conduct fieldwork.
Student Voices

In this seminar, students can review the themes covered in the marketing lectures, and further deepen their understanding of marketing and consumer behavior. In addition, the students are close to each other, as well as to the professor and the students, so they can enjoy their time in the seminar. During group presentations, students listen seriously to the presenters' explanations, making it a lively seminar. Group debates are also held, which helps to hone communication skills.

In this seminar, we do presentations and group discussions. In the seminar, we exchange opinions with each other, discover problems and solutions in marketing and consumer behavior, and place importance on conveying our opinions to others. Professor Nihira places great importance on group work and discussion in his classes, so I think that the perspective of marketing and consumer behavior will be useful even after entering the workforce. This is a fun seminar because we do seminar activities with people with diverse personalities.
